Week 2 Begins
This week we have seven camps in every corner of Hungary.

The church in Pecs-Somogy is a special place for me
I lived upstairs in the parsonage when I taught the first year we had the camps. This is the “little church that could.” The church is very small in a very rural location. They have been without a pastor some years, and last year when another team backed out at the last minute, the church fasted and prayed, and God provided. This year, the team is once again from McKinney, Texas. The camp director Erika is the heart of this camp. Their village has no English teachers and the whole community anticipates and plans for the camp each summer.

The camp in the city of Pecs . . .
has 65 students, and the team from O’Donnell, Texas, is returning for the third year. The pastor of the Texas church, Taylor Wood, reports: “We are also holding an adult English discussion club/ bible study at the church. We had about 20 adults on the first night and 15 tonight. We shared the gospel there with a father and son who seemed very receptive and will be back.”

The church in Szentendre . . .
had a very large camp last week, and this week they are having another small camp in a facility in the park. Kids from the neighborhood around the park are attending. Baseball equipment, which they will leave behind, was donated by FBC Amarillo, and the High Plains Christian Ministry from Amarillo provided the money for over 1,000 Hungarian bibles to be distributed there and in each of our camps. Larry O’Neill, the team leader from Lubbock, Texas, writes: “Once again, we see how generous donors make it possible for us to share an understandable version of the Bible with our students. Many thanks to all who have provided support of God's work in the English Bible camps!”
